I went to the mountain on a Thursday.

I listened to a Russian man with a grated voice. The harsh rasp of the man's song did not compliment; it did not focus my attention on any particular beauty or another. The view from the mountain was arresting - so much so that I stated it publicly, yet let the Russian man's music play. For who am I to question the relevance of immediate influence from opposing forces?  I felt torn for the benefit of sanity, but opinion was utterly incoherent in this type of context. Right?
I keep to myself sometimes, which is good.

Washed Out - Feel It All Around

I was at Rocking the Daisies 09.

Pictured here is SHE MAN LION, Gazelle and a few other arbitrates.
They were part of the Red Bull Radar competition, although this was not a first time witness for me. They have performed at Zula Sound Bar in Long Street before, albeit to a lesser crowd than this. Think Johnny Neon, but with more Foals inspired drumming and guitar battling.

One amateurish review aside, the festival was amazing. A definite highlight was the return of the Doodle tent for the Night Of a 1000 Drawings charity initiative. Had fun drawing for an hour whilst Thieve played the worst set of the fest.

Luckily we were all saved by old times when Desmond gave us a dance-off not to be spat at.
I should mention the electro tent, but I'd rather not repeat the happenings which occurred there. Rather fiendish.

To Mitchell, Salome, Johnty, Mandy, etc: thanks for being great company
To Portabello: best food ever

I wrote this on a moonlit night on top of a castle's roof with some friends in Namibia. It was unsuspectingly eerie and fantastical at the time. Reading this probably seems like the the incessant ramblings of a fool to you, but to myself and those friends... it's just so much more. You had to be there and see what we saw to appreciate this.
